[Jun 18, 2007]   Tasting Theme - Week of June 18th

Bonjour! This week at Vestry Wines we'll be taking a trip to the Loire Valley in France. There are so many wonderful wines being produced along the Loire River, which happens to be the longest in France at just over 1000 km. The wines of the region really express the terroir of where these grapes are grown, but also the historic past of the region.

Each town has its own identity and whether they are making wines from the handful of indigenous varieties like Cabernet Franc in Chinon and Saumur, Sauvignon Blanc in Sancerre and Menatou-Salon or Chenin Blanc in Savennieres and Vouvray. The possibilities are endless and the Loire Valley truly is a playground for winelovers because there is so much to experience.

We will have some fun things open in addition to what's listed below, so come on by and join us!

2005 Vincent Ogereau Anjou Blanc  $14
