[Aug 23, 2007]   Tasting Schedule: August 20th - September 30th
Awesome Aussies and Killer Kiwis! (August 20 - 26) – A tasting of 4 wines from down under, we’ll taste some classic styles of Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough as well as a Shiraz from the Barossa Valley of Australia.
Labor Day White Sale (August 27 – September 2) – It’s hard to believe that summer will be over and we’re relishing in the last of these dog days. This week we’ll taste a selection of wines that help us beat the heat and will be perfect for your last hurrah at the beach.
Original Rhone Rangers (September 3 – 9) – The “Rhone Rangers” are a rowdy group of California winemakers dedicated to the Rhone grape varieties like Syrah, Grenache and Viognier among a few others. Come and taste a selection of wines from their homeland in France, the Rhone Valley!
Whacky California Winemakers (September 10 - 16) - Okay, so sometimes I think the California sunshine has penetrated the minds of these winemakers in Cali. But after tasting some of these wines, you'll believe that quality Tocai Friulano, Sangiovese and Nebbiolo is possible in the sunshine state.

Organic Treasures (September 17 - 23) - While the "Organic" moniker is becoming more and more popular we have to keep in mind that Organic is not synonymous with Quality. For this tasting we've selected a handful of wines that are not only delicious, but also happen to be Organic and/or Biodynamic.

The Forgotten Grapes of Italy (September 24 - 30) - Casavecchia, Piedirosso, Gaglioppo, Nerello Mascalese and Negroamaro are just a few examples of the thousands of indigenous grape varieties that are slowly making their way back into popularity. You don't need to pronounce them, just enjoy them.
